sequence of events

Working Committee and a few alumni members (total 10) met at Kadri Park today( 16th DEC. 2014 at 1 pm to take stock of the arrangements made for the get together of our alumni scheduled for December 20, 2014.   

First we finalised the sequence of   events for the day and Master of Ceremony for the event Smitha Shenoy gave minute-to-minute account of the events of the day.  The sequence of the programme is serving breakfast for all the invitees.   MC will take over welcome and invite guests to the dais then prayer song (is anyone willing to perform pl let us know) welcome address   formal inauguration   by lighting the lamp.  Address by    chief guests felicitation to teachers by alumni students, address by one of the teachers on behalf of the faculty, Keynote address, Views/opinions of alumni to be presented in a nutshell, presidential address and vote of thanks.

Responsibilities to carry out these tasks have already been assigned to various alumni members and now only follow up has to be done.  The chief guests for the occasion will be once again reminded about the event by one of the WC members.    Banners will be put in the campus two days before the event.  We also finalised the refreshment/ food arrangements for the event for about 100 people.  Many alumni members have failed to convey us their participation/non participation.  So we have zeroed in on 100 people as participants.   

Treasurer also gave an account of the money collected for the purpose.  We have reached the magical figure of Rs. 45,000/- but still short of Rs. 5k which we believe we will be able to achieve in the coming days.   We also reviewed the points to the keynote address and are in the process of finalising the views/opinions of alumni to be presented on the day.  A memorandum containing suggestions will have to be prepared to hand over the same to the Vice Chancellor on the day of the event.     

In the meantime members who have taken the responsibility will be in touch with one another communicating the progress made and clarifying doubts if any.

The members will once again meet on 19^th to review the arrangements and preparedness for the event.
